6D5N MOUNT TAHAN EXPEDITION

Hiking Route:  Sg. Relau – Mt Tahan Peak – Sg. Relau

Hiking period:  Mar till October

ITINERARY:

DAY 1:  KUALA LUMPUR – MERAPOH (D)

Depart from Kuala Lumpur to Merapoh by van in the morning.

Check in Dormitory.  Briefing and preparation of the hike.

DAY 2:  SUNGAI RELAU – KUALA JURAM – KEM KOR (B,L,D)

After breakfast, transfer by 4WD to Wildlife Office at Sungai Relau.

Process of registration and checking of personal items and things bring to mountain.

After completion of checking, transfer to Kuala Juram (13km).  Gunung Tahan hike start from here to Kem Kor. Overnight at Tent.

• Kuala Juram (309m) – Kem Kor (750m)
• Total Distance: (13.5km).
• Meal: breakfast, packed lunch and dinner

DAY 3:  KEM KOR – KUBANG (B,L,D)

After breakfast, hike from

• Kem Kor (750m), passing Pematang (874m) to Kem Ku ang (1406m).
• Overnight at tent, Kubang Campsite
• Total distance: 6km
• Trekking Meal: Breakfast, Packed lunch, dinner)

DAY 4    KUBANG – KEM BOTAK (B, L, D)

              After breakfast, hike from

• Kem Kubang (1406m) to Kem Botak (1943m)
• Overnight at tent, Kem Botak
• Total distance: 10km
• Trekking Meal: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner

DAY 5    KEM BOTAK – MT TAHAN SUMMIT – KEM KOR (B, L, D)

              Early morning hike from

• Kem Botak to summit of Mt Tahan (2,187m) – Highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia and 6^th highest in Malaysia.
• After viewing the sunrise, return to Kem Botak for breakfast
• After breakfast, hike from Kem Botak(1943m) to Kem Kor (750m)
• Overnight at tent, Kem Kor
• Total distance: 4km
• Trekking Meal: breakfast, packed lunch, dinner

DAY 6    KEM KOR – KUALA JURAM (B, L)

After breakfast, hike from

• Kem Kor to Kuala Juram
• Kuala Juram transfer to Wildlife Office
• Check again the items/things that you should bring back.
• Clean up and transfer to Kuala Lumpur.
• Trekking Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Price:

4 in a group: RM2,350/person

5 in a group: RM2,060/person

Price Include:

• National Park permit
• 1 mountain guide (maximum 12 pax climber)
• 2 porters carrying rations, camping equipment & cooking utensil

• 1 Porter to 2 climbers (carrying tent, sle[3eping bag and mat, personal items not more than 3kg/person.  Each porter maximum weight is 15kg)

• Camera License (RM5)

• Extension day of the trekking at RM150/guide/porter

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

NAME LIST: 

Full name and I/C number shall be submitted to Green Trekkers Sdn. Bhd. upon confirmation for booking and permit application with the National Park.

BOOKING:

Booking is required in advance (at least 4 months ahead).  Only 48 pax is permitted for the climb each day.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION PROCEDURE:

• 50% deposit after the National Park permit is approved
• Balance payment 1 month prior to departure date
• Deposit is strictly non-refundable
• Cancellation more than 30 days, the balance payment is waived.
• Cancellation less than 30 days or no show, 100% of the tour fare is forfeited

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:

Full name and I/C number of the person shall be submitted to Green Trekkers 30 days prior to arrival date.

Less than 30 days, replacement is not allowed

A processing fee of RM100 is imposed for each replacement
